Who is the LIT School Administrator?
Mr. Darrin Branch- known as the LIT School Administrator, is from Washington, DC, and has been in the field of education for over 15 years. He began his career as a special education teacher for students with Autism and matriculated through the field as an English Teacher, Dean of School Culture, Assistant Principal of Student Support Services, and Assistant Principal of Instruction. The LIT School Administrator received his bachelor’s degree in Public Administration with a minor in Vocal Performance, from Kentucky State University and his master’s degree in Special Education from Concordia University. Throughout his career, he has made it his goal to dismantle the “school-to-prison pipeline” and give African- American students the education that they deserve.
In 2020 during the pandemic, Darrin incorporated his known title and turned the name, LIT School Administrator into a business. The LIT School Administrator, LLC's purpose is to train teachers on classroom management, a culturally responsive approach, relationship building, restorative practice, and social-emotional learning. His business also creates after-school programs for inner-city youth, including tutoring, mentorship, restorative circles, and community building.
